The Key Accounts Manager is a pivotal role responsible for cultivating and maximizing partnerships with key players in identified channels/verticals. With focus on establishing and implementing proactive programs, the Key Accounts Manager reports to the Key Accounts Lead for Retail Partnerships and plays a crucial role in strategy development and execution.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the Key Accounts Lead for Retail Partnerships
- Establishes partnerships with Key Players in identified channels/verticals, with the goal of maximizing partnership potential
- Establishes and implements programs proactively together with partners, doing so in a professional and productive manner
- Plays an integral role in strategy development and execution
- Identifies and seizes opportunities that will push the progress and success of the company
- Manages all internal discussions related to the partners, making sure that the strategy of the company is aligned
- Measures and evaluates effectiveness of strategies and programs implemented with the partner, adjusting where deemed necessary
- Performs ad hoc tasks required and related to account management and partner development
- Ensures success of each partner, by being the main point of contact between the company and all assigned partners
Qualification
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Sales/Business Development/Channel and Account Management
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration and other associated degrees.
- Good understanding of any of the following: Consumer Financing, Retail, E-Commerce, and FMCG and its dynamics
- With C-level network of contacts in relevant industries
- Strategic thinking in sales and business development
- Results driven, with experience and ability in conceptualizing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
- Strong planning and organization skills
- Strong sales aptitude – with desire and drive to move the industry.
- Strength of character to raise and communicate issues and/or recommendations.
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Possesses the ability to influence others and take a dominant role.
- Committed and self-motivated
- Basic IT Skills (Microsoft Office, and other applications)
- Team player with proper regard for corporate policies and direct superiors
